1977 – A Mother's Passion
In the small town of Cavalletto d’Ocre, in the province of L’Aquila, nonna Anaide began baking pastries out of love for her children. Her treats were so delicious that she soon decided to share them with the world. With a basket full of pastries, Anaide went into the city, offering her sweets to local shops. Her passion and commitment to quality marked the birth of Dolci Aveja, a brand rooted in family tradition and artisanal craftsmanship.

Growing a Tradition

As word spread about the delicious, handmade pastries, Dolci Aveja grew. The bakery became known for its signature almond and hazelnut delights, made with no preservatives and using only natural ingredients. Despite the growth, the heart of Dolci Aveja remained the same: every pastry was made by hand, preserving the authenticity and love that started it all.

Anaide’s son, Mariano, and his wife, Maria Teresa, took over the business, continuing the legacy of quality and authenticity. They expanded Dolci Aveja’s offerings with handcrafted liqueurs, nougat, chocolates and assorted confections, following the same natural principles that defined the brand. Under Mariano and Maria Teresa’s leadership, Dolci Aveja thrived, always honoring tradition while embracing innovation.

2019 – A New Chapter in L’Aquila

Dolci Aveja took a bold step forward by opening their second store in the heart of L’Aquila, bringing their artisanal pastries closer to the people of the region. This new location symbolized both expansion and a deep connection to the local community, further establishing the brand as a beloved regional icon.
