Anaide’s son, Mariano, and his wife, Maria Teresa, took over the business, continuing the legacy of quality and authenticity. They expanded Dolci Aveja’s offerings with handcrafted liqueurs, nougat, chocolates and assorted confections, following the same natural principles that defined the brand. Under Mariano and Maria Teresa’s leadership, Dolci Aveja thrived, always honoring tradition while embracing innovation.

🇮🇹 About Dolci Aveja

Who is Dolci Aveja?

Dolci Aveja is a family-owned bakery from L’Aquila, Abruzzo — crafting artisanal Italian sweets since 1977. Every cookie and nougat is handmade in small batches using the same original recipes our ancestors passed down through generations. We’ve never changed a single recipe since the beginning.

Where are the products made?

All our products are 100% made in Italy, crafted at our bakery in Abruzzo (📍Via del Mulino, 10, 67040 Cavalletto, Ocre AQ) using authentic Italian ingredients and traditional methods that follow strict Italian quality standards.

Each batch is then imported directly to the U.S. by our exclusive importer, Itrade USA LLC.

We never alter our recipes — what Italians enjoy in Italy is exactly what you receive here.

Visitors are always welcome to see our process firsthand! For group tours, please email info@dolciaveja.us

What makes Dolci Aveja different from other Italian cookies?

We stand for authenticity.

No preservatives, no artificial colors, no shortcuts — only clean ingredients, slow craftsmanship, and the true taste of Italy.

We never modify our products for the American market: The same sweets sold in Italian stores are the ones we import to the U.S., made only in Italy with the same recipes and ingredients.

What makes your cookies a premium product?

Our cookies are premium because we never compromise on quality. From ingredients to packaging, every detail reflects our commitment to authenticity and freshness.

We bake and ship in small batches, so our cookies are never stored for months or filled with preservatives to extend shelf life. Each recipe uses more eggs, flour, almonds, or hazelnuts than sugar, and every cookie is crafted and packed by hand, not by machines.

When you open a bag of Dolci Aveja, you smell home — not a factory. We never cut corners or sacrifice quality, preserving the same honest ingredients, handmade process, and Italian tradition that have defined Dolci Aveja for five decades.

🍯 Ingredients & Quality

Are your products natural?

Absolutely. We use only real butter, fresh eggs, Italian almonds and hazelnuts, Italian flour, local honey, real fruit jam, and premium chocolate — never artificial substitutes.

Most of our sweets contain only 3 to 6 ingredients — simple, real ingredients you can pronounce and probably already have in your pantry.

How long do your cookies last?

Our cookies are not made to last in warehouses for years. They have a shelf life of 6–8 months, depending on the product. Food is meant to be enjoyed fresh — we care deeply about what we put into our bodies and always prioritize quality over quantity.

Are your cookies very sweet?

Not at all. Our recipes are lightly sweetened — sugar is never listed as the first ingredient. Expect a balanced, delicate flavor — not the heavy sweetness typical of industrial cookies.

Are your sweets safe for kids?

Yes! They’re handmade with simple, clean ingredients — the kind of treats parents feel good giving to their families.

We started this business because we wanted to give our kids the kind of sweets you would make at home, not the mass-produced kind from big corporations.
